THE PRESIDENT'S PERSPECTIVE
Commentaries by the President of T.F.F.I. Dr. Gary G. Dull

IF I HAD TO GIVE A STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS TONIGHT IN PRESIDENT OBAMA’S WORDS,

BASED UPON HIS LEADERSHIP SO FAR,

THIS IS WHAT I WOULD SAY

DR. GARY G. DULL

Mr. Vice President, Madam Speaker, The Supreme Justices, Members of the House of Representatives, Members of the Senate, Guests and fellow Americans, I am here tonight to inform you that THE STATE OF THE UNION IS QUESTIONABLE, APPEARING TO BE FLOUNDERING IN DIRECTION, WEAKENING IN FREEDOMS, AND GOING FURTHER INTO DEBT EVERY SECOND OF EVERY DAY.  To be honest, I believe we need CHANGE and I promise that I will put forth my full and complete efforts to bring that CHANGE about for the sake of the citizens of the world.

Since January 20, 2009 conditions in the most blessed nation on the face of the earth have become critically serious with the high level of unemployment, the unimaginable growth in the national debt, the increased division of the American citizens, the prevailing rage of anger evidenced all across the nation, the number of foreign nations which have been apologized to about America, the lack of transparency in government, the effort to make back room deals with shameful parties, the general avoiding of the democratic process by Congress, the neglect to listen to the majority of the American public regarding health care, the astronomical waste of your tax dollars in stimulus funds and pork projects, the gradual deterioration of the Judeo-Christian influence, the rejection of the principles of freedom that made America great, the effort to re-write American history, the government take-over of private businesses, the failure to recognize America’s real needs of personal liberties, the covert effort to ruin capitalism, the breaking of many promises during the presidential campaign, and the growth government in general, just to name a few conditions I have caused, allowed or directed to come into fruition since becoming your President 372 days ago.  The more I think of it, the more I wonder if I should admit that I have no idea how to run this country and should therefore turn the reigns of government over to Vice-President Joe Biden, Rohm Emanuel, Janet Napolitano or even the European Union.  But you have elected me as your President, and tonight I stand before you saying that I WILL NOT REST until I take greater efforts to discourage life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as well as weaken the American system of government to the point of global inefficiency so that we will have to, by default, surrender our national sovereignty to Haiti, a nation that has learned how to survive through adversity.

I realize that I have a long way to go to activate more of my personal agenda for America.  The problem is, I do not know where to begin, nor do I know how to lead.  Looking at my past experience, I have never really run any major organization before becoming President, and perhaps you remember the words I penned on page 9 of my book, “THE AUDACITY OF HOPE,” when I said in reference to beginning the process of changing our policies and our civic life, that “I don’t know exactly how to do it.”  May I also remind you that for 20 years I trained under the right Reverend Jeremiah Wright and have learned to question many of America’s philosophies.  I realize I do not support the sanctity of life as our founders did and that I believe we should twist the United States Constitution to reflect global, liberal, secular and socialist thinking.  I also remind you that I do not view America as a great unique entity brought into existence by God, but rather just one of the many insignificant nations of the world and therefore we should not attempt to promote our values, convictions and beliefs, but just mold ourselves into being citizens of global unity.  I believe America should not portray itself as a leader and stand out among other nations, but am willing to submit to and follow other countries like France, Russia, China and Venezuela as they replace capitalism and freedom with socialism and bondage.

Indeed, we have many problems in America and to solve them in 2010, I plan on changing the traditional values that have been practiced in our 234 year history and overwhelm the individual manpower and financial resources of the conservative movement on a vast variety of fronts.  I will attempt to develop an America that will accept gay marriages and that will also assert that gay lifestyles are morally equivalent to Christian lifestyles.  I will support so-called “diversity training” that compels the acceptance of alternative lifestyles, and the passage of hate crime laws that criminalize what people say and do.  I will oppose a marriage protection amendment to the U.S. Constitution believing it will weaken our respect for each other.  I will install political correctness and speech codes at our colleges and universities and punish students who hold traditional values.  I will support tax payer funding for abortion through Medicare, Medicaid, and the further development of a socialized health care program, as well as through our nation’s foreign aid spending.  As time goes on, I will tell Christians to sit down, shut up, and pay the bills, and will attempt to tell them that the America in which they grew up is gone and that people of faith have a role to play in public, but only if they leave their moral values at home.  To the best of my ability, I will see that Big Brother Government, which really knows more about what the individual needs than the individual himself, and not the people will be in charge, and that all Americans will have to accept the “anything goes” grayscale of morality as the best thing for a progressive culture.

My fellow Americans, I want to change America according to my global, liberal, secular, and socialist agenda which is patterned after the European model.  I desire to see an America that our founding fathers never dreamed it to be.  Perhaps I may fail, and if I do, as I said earlier, I will just then turn the reigns of government over to Joe Biden, Rohm Emanuel, Janet Napolitano or the European Union.  But in the meantime I will do my very best to blur the American dream, to discourage personal freedom through big government, and to destroy the middle class.  Please feel free to let me know what you think about my agenda, even though I really have no intent on listening to you anyway, as illustrated in my attitude toward developing a national health care system.

Thank you for tuning into my first STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS and I look forward to giving you at least three more of them in subsequent years.

From Washington, DC, Good night.  Good luck.  Good news for tomorrow.  And may God consider and tolerate the false gods of the world, and not attempt to place His blessing on America, as it would portray the highest form of discrimination.

APPROACHING A PRESIDENT YOU DISAGREE WITH

IN AN HONORABLE FASHION

Dr. Gary G. Dull

The Faith and Freedom Institute

From time to time we all have governmental leaders with whom we disagree. With that disagreement often come emotions that will lead us to say things we should not say or do things we should not do.  Once we have said or have committed those improper things we cannot take them back because they have become a part of our personal history and reputation for everyone to know.  Many times saying or doing the improper thing in reference to a governmental leader hinders our integrity in the face of others, which becomes very difficult to rebuild.

I can recall a situation that occurred just a few years ago when I was a part of a delegation speaking to one our United States Senators.  One of the other men who was in attendance was a pastor who greatly disagreed with the Senator on a number of issues and in the process of explaining those differences, he “lost it” and went into an expression of shouting, stomping, ramping and raving, and in total disrespect to the Senator, he left the room yelling out things I would hesitate to say to anyone.  Prior to that incident, I had a lot of respect for that pastor, but needless to say, afterwards, my respect for him has dwindled.

I wonder how many times we forfeit our testimony for Christ by the way we respond to those in authority with whom we disagree, don’t you?

How do we properly respond to a president we disagree with over the issues?  I have thought of that for a while and thus present you with the following principles to consider.  Perhaps they will aid you as you approach a leader you disapprove of or disagree with on a regular basis.

To be honest, I write this in the backdrop of President Barak Obama’s administration and based upon the fact that many Christians and concerned citizens disagree with him greatly.  Certainly it is fine to disagree with the President, but we all must learn to do so in an honorable way and in a fashion that may open the door for further dialogue or opportunities that could possibly bring the President into agreement with our convictions

Principle One:  REMEMBER WHO PLACED HIM IN OFFICE

For many this is difficult to comprehend, but all who are in authority are placed there by God, including the President.  Romans 13:1 says, “THE POWERS THAT BE ARE ORDAINED BY GOD.” God puts every leader in office for a purpose and we may not know what that purpose truly is.  However, we must trust God to fulfill that purpose for His glory, as well as being open to learn the lesson God may have for us at the present time.

Principle Two: PRAY FOR HIM REGULARLY

Prayer really works, and the more we pray for the President the more we will see God work for His glory.  It is possible that we often have certain presidents in office because we have not been praying earnestly or properly.  Therefore we would do well to practice 1 Timothy 2:1-3 and pray for “all that are in authority.”  Always remember that the quickest way to another person’s heart is directly to God through prayer.

Principle Three:  RESPECT THE OFFICE

The office of the President of The United States is the highest office in the land, and possibly the world.  So be careful to avoid talking in a defamatory or corrupt fashion when speaking of the President.  Instead, speak to build him up respectfully by giving direct, but positive words of advice based upon your opinion or conviction.  Colossians 4:6 says, “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt.”

Principle Four:  KNOW THE NATIONAL DOCUMENTS

The United States is a nation of laws based upon The Declaration of Independence, and The Constitution.  Many have never taken the time to read either of those documents and therefore have a very limited understanding of what America is all about and how she is to be governed.  The more you know the text of America’s historical documents, the more you will know how to properly keep the President in check.

Principle Five: PROTECT THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

Every president must take an oath of office which says, “I do solemnly swear (of affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”  When it is apparent that a president has violated the Constitution, the proper process must be conducted by the people to bring him back into agreement with that powerful document.

Principle Six: WRITE TO THE PRESIDENT TO EXPRESS YOUR CONCERNS

The President is interested in your concerns whether it is for political or personal benefit.  So, when you disagree with him, do not just talk to those who can do nothing about it, but kindly and firmly write him a note to express your feelings.  He may just listen to you and make the proper change in direction.  His address is: The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. DC, Washington, DC   20500.  His phone number is: 202/456-1111.  His email address is: president@whitehouse.gov.

Principle Seven: INFORM YOU SENTORS AND REPRESENTATIVES

Your United States senators and representatives have direct ways to get in touch with the President.  They are to represent you in this nation, and so by sharing your concerns with them, they may be able to direct you, or work with other legislatures, to see that your concerns are addressed effectively.

Principle Eight: COMMUNICATE YOUR IDEAS WITH OTHERS

Perhaps there are others who agree with you on the issues, but have not spoken out about their concerns.  So, take opportunities to share your convictions and opinions with others and perhaps you will build a coalition of friends who will work with you on the matters of concern.

Principle Nine: CREATE OR GET INVOLVED WITH A PEACEFUL MOVEMENT

It is always beneficial for concerned people to stand together on the issues.  By joining or getting together with others who share your convictions or opinions, your gentle force of combined voices may have a tremendous way of getting the attention of the President for the good.

Principle Ten: BE PERSISTENT

Never give up on your efforts.  Just at the last moment when you think you have lost the battle, something may change drastically because you have kept up the “good fight.”  If you quit prematurely, for sure your voice will not be heard.

Principle Eleven: SUPPORT VALID CANDIDATES WHO HOLD YOUR CONVICTIONS.

If the President continues to govern against your convictions or opinions, look for others who hold the same positions as you and direct your support their way at the next election.  By doing so, you fire the one you believe is not properly leading the country the way you want to see it go.

THE DEATH OF SENATOR TED KENNEDY IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO STRENGTHEN CONSERVATISM IN AMERICA

BY

DR. GARY G. DULL, PRESIDENT

THE FAITH AND FREEDOM INSTITUTE

As I write this article it is almost a week since we all heard the news of the passing of Senator Edward (Ted) Kennedy.  Of course, we all knew that he had been ill for over a year with a malignant brain tumor, but it still came as a shock upon hearing the news of his death.   At least it was for me.

How did you respond to the news of Mr. Kennedy’s death?  I am certain that there were many different responses, some of which I do not want to mention in an article like this.  But, let’s reflect a bit on his life and involvement in America.

Ted Kennedy has been referred to as “The Liberal Lion of the Senate,” by a good number of people.  Without a doubt, he was a liberal, and according to his own words, he was very proud to carry the liberal banner.  In some ways he was also a lion.  A lion can look tame, but when it gets hungry or becomes angry it can devour practically anything that stands in its way.  Ted Kennedy was that way too.  We all saw that side of him come out very clearly in the days when Judge Robert Bork was being considered as a Supreme Court Justice.  Single handedly, Kennedy literally destroyed the judicial life and career of Robert Bork, which was a terrible shame.  I believe Robert Bork would have made an excellent Supreme Court Justice had he had the opportunity to prove himself, but Senator Kennedy prevented that from happening. Ted Kennedy could be unreasonable in situations when he was angered or opposed and without a doubt Mr. Bork became a recipient of that flaw in the Senator’s life.

Recently I sat down and listed a few characteristics about Ted Kennedy which stem from my own personal observations about the man who served as a United States Senator for nearly fifty years. In my humble opinion Senator Kennedy was the center of liberalism in America, he was the Kennedy family patriarch for many years, he was controlled by alcoholism, for most of his adult life he was a dysfunctional husband and father, he loved to sing, he was a very effective politician who could get things accomplished that others would only dream of, he was very resilient in that he came back from so many potential destructive situations, he was feared in government, he was hated by many and he was loved by millions.

There were times when his alcoholism brought shame to his life.  One nationally known incident occurred on July 18, 1969 when he drove his car off of the Chappaquidaick Island Bridge and killed Mary Jo Kopechne.  I have always believed that the reason why he did not report the accident for hours was so that the alcohol in his system had time to wear off.

Another incident occurred right on the Senate floor in Washington, DC when, at one point, he was so intoxicated that he could not effectively deliver his speech and even ended up tripping over the tripod he was using to explain the points he wanted to make.  Yet, on another occasion, alcohol had such control over him that his aid literally had to prop him up in order to keep him from falling in one of the Capitol elevators as several on-lookers observed with shame and embarrassment.

In my opinion, these incidents do not portray the proper deportment for a United States Senator, no matter whom he or she may be.  Only God knows what all Mr. Kennedy may have done under the control of alcohol, and, to be honest, I am glad that only God knows.

By supporting abortion, same-sex unions, tax increases, big government, governmental health-care, and by opposing the war on terror, pro-life issues, the original intent of the United States Constitution, and the moral values of America’s founders, Senator Kennedy did a lot to lead this nation toward a premature demise.  Had he been strong and healthy over the past eight months, I firmly believe we would have seen the Obama health-care plan passed in the Senate by now which would have, in one single blow, forced America one more step closer to being a socialistic nation.  As the hand of God has been seen in so many ways in the history of America, I also believe it was the work of God to keep Mr. Kennedy from being active over the past eight months in Washington, and it was the providence of God to take the Senator out of this life in a timely fashion, so as to preserve some of the precious values of the Judeo-Christian ethic.

Was I glad to hear of the death of Ted Kennedy?  Of course not!  Do I feel sorry for the Kennedy family who loved him so deeply?  Certainly I do!  In fact, I pray every day that the Kennedy family and loved ones will have the strength and comfort of Almighty God as they rebound from this time of great grief.  Am I happy that Ted Kennedy is no longer in the Senate?  Of course I am!  Do I believe liberalism will have a “set back” due to the absence of Ted Kennedy in government?  Indeed I do!  In fact, I pray we conservatives will take the advantage of this time to strengthen our forces so as to combat all the liberal trends that have been on the rise in the nation in recent years under the leadership of Mr. Kennedy.  We can do it, and we must do it while we have the opportunity to do so.  This is not a time for conservatives to rest or rejoice.  As the number one liberal strong hold in the United States government is now silenced in the death of Ted Kennedy, this is the time for all true conservatives to unite, to stand up and to speak out for the values that made America great.  God has given us another opportunity to strengthen America.  Let’s do all we can to accomplish that purpose.

Certainly the death of Ted Kennedy brings us to the end of a fascinating era in America.  From the time I was a child, I have always been intrigued with the Kennedy family and in some ways I sorrow to see this era come to an end.  But it has, and now we must reflect upon what we have learned through the Kennedy’s involvement in America and go on to stronger conservative and moral values by recognizing God’s hand in our nation and submitting to His principles that will once again bring His blessing on our great land.

"RETURNING TO THE PRINCIPLES THAT MADE AMERICA GREAT"

INTRO: No matter what people are saying today, AMERICA WAS A NATION FOUNDED UPON BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES! Proof of this goes back as far as the Father of our National himself, George Washington who said during his first inaugural address, "THE PROPITIOUS SMILES OF HEAVEN CAN NEVER BE EXPECTED ON A NATION THAT DISREGARDS THE ETERNAL RULES OF ORDER AND RIGHT WHICH HEAVEN ITSELF HAS ORDAINED." If America has been great and will be great as a nation in the future, it WILL NOT BE because of her natural resources, her great landmass, or the great intelligence of her people…IT WILL BE BECAUSE SHE HAS ADHERED TO THE PRINCIPLES OF GOD’S WORD IN REPUTATION AND CHARACTER. God brought America into existence and blessed America because it was built on seven principles of the Judeo-Christian ethic which must continue if America is to remain great. Let’s consider them in this message, and even as we are seeing a turning away from these principles, LET’S PRAY THAT THERE WILL BE A TURNING BACK TO THESE PRINCIPLES

No matter what people are saying today, AMERICA WAS A NATION FOUNDED UPON BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES!

IN THE GENERATIONS TO COME SO THAT AMERICA MIGHT REMAIN GREAT!

I. THE PRINCIPLE OF THE DIGNITY OF HUMAN LIFE

SCRIPTURES: Exodus 20:13; Mt. 5:21, 22

A. At one time, America held to this principle without reservation! Today this is not always the case.

B. Abortion, which is now legal, and euthanasia, which is becoming more popular is violating this great principle upon which America was built!

LET’S PRAY FOR A RETURN TO THE DIGNITY OF HUMAN LIFE!

II. THE PRINCIPLE OF THE TRADITIONAL MONOGAMOUS FAMILY

SCRIPTURES: Gen. 2:21-24

A. A family begins when a man legally marries a woman! Our nation used to respect that, but recent trends are out to change that principle!

B. Today diverse forms such as common law marriages or homosexual marriages are becoming acceptable to society BUT WILL NEVER BE ACCEPTABLE TO GOD!

LET’S PRAY FOR A RETURN TO THE MONOGAMOUS FAMILY!

III. THE PRINCIPLE OF COMMON DECENCY

SCRIPTURES: Mat. 5:27, 28; Eph. 5:3-5

A. Common decency involves guarding one’s thought life and keeping the human body properly covered in order to prevent someone from lust. That used to be more prevalent in America.

B. Today common decency is being rejected:

-Pornography is a 4 billon dollar business….

-Filthy magazines are on display at the eye level of young children in many stores

-T.V. programs are filled with profanity and obscenity

LET’S PRAY FOR A RETURN TO COMMON DECENCY!

IV. THE PRINCIPLE OF THE WORK ETHIC

SCRIPTURES: Gen. 3:19; 2 Thess. 3:10

A. The Bible makes it clear that a man is to live by working…

B. Today the dignity of hard work is being deteriorated by the welfare system and handouts from the government.

LET’S PRAY FOR A RETURN TO THE WORK ETHIC!

V. THE PRINCIPLE OF THE ABRHAMIC COVENANT

SCRIPTURES: Gen. 12: 1-3

A. America has always stood with Israel in the past.

B. The Abrhamic Covenant still exists! If America is to remain great, as a nation she must stand with Israel!

LET’S PARY FOR THE SUPPORT OF ISRAEL!

VI. THE PRINCIPLE OF GOD-CENTERED EDUCATION

SCRIPTURES: Deut. 6:4-9; Eph. 6:4

A. In the past, the education system included God….In fact, He was at the center of education.

-The Bible was a reading text book…

-The church sponsored education…..

-The home was a center for learning….

B. Today, GOD AS BEEN REMOVED FROM SCHOOL….In many schools, God has been replaced by evolution, secular humanism, and even sex education classes that often are nothing more than academic pornography!

LET’S PRAY FOR A RETURN TO GOD-CENTERED EDUCATION!

VII. THE PRINCIPLE OF DIVINELY ORDAINED ESTABLISHMENTS

A. The Bible teaches that God has established three institutions:

-The home: Gen. 2:21-24

-The government: Gen. 10:31; Rom. 13:1-7

-The church: Mt. 16:17-19

B. If America is to be great it must maintain the support of these institutions!

LET’S PRAY FOR A RETURN TO THE DIVINELY ORDAINED INSTITUTIONS!

CONCLUSION: IT’S TIME FOR AMERICA TO RETURN TO THE BIBLE! IF IT DOES NOT, IT WILL LOSE IT’S GREATNESS QUICK! WHERE DOES IT ALL BEGIN? WITH YOU AND ME:

- WE MUST STUDY AND BELIVE THE BIBLE….

- WE MUST OBEY THE BIBLE….

- WE MUST COMMUNICATE THE BIBLE….

- WE MUST PRAY FOR REVIVAL…
